Better Kitchen Facelifts

A warm and modern kitchen facelift for a family home, designed to reflect the owners’ style while working seamlessly with the existing renovations and new flooring.

This project involved updating a family kitchen that no longer reflected the style of the recently renovated home. While the house itself had already been refreshed, the kitchen felt dated and disconnected from the rest of the space. The clients wanted to introduce a modern design that felt warm and personal, while keeping the existing layout intact to avoid disturbing the newly installed flooring. Budget was important, so the focus was on spending in the right areas to maximise impact.

We completed a full kitchen facelift, replacing all doors, drawer fronts, panels, benchtop and hardware, while also adding and adjusting cabinetry to improve functionality and better utilise the space. To create a contemporary yet inviting feel, we incorporated curved fluted bar back panel, overhead doors, subtle timber tones, a matching curved benchtop, and a square textured tile splashback. As the client chose to use their own stone mason, BKF prepared the kitchen and templated the benchtop to ensure a smooth handover for stone fabrication and installation. The result is a warm, modern kitchen that feels larger, more functional and perfectly suited to family life, with the clients amazed at how much the space has been transformed.
